The ~40 dozen HIMARS and ~20 M270 are already putting a severe strain on NATO supply chains and stocks. Even if you have domestic production of munitions, it wouldn't be able to sustain that large of an inventory in an war with russians.

I mean sure, you can expend all you stocks in the first 2 days with that large of a fleet, but what then? If the factory still stands at that point, how many vehicles can it realistically supply in with munitions? 20?

Not saying you shouldn't invest in purchasing new equipment, but in this case the decision is questionable, imho.
