There is very few arabs or north africans in the US. Historically the ones that did were christian lebanese and syrians who were basically white. The small amount of muslims who have come recently I doubt put white on the census.

Recent fertility rate declines are from blacks and hispanics having fertility rates drop to a similar birth rate to whites. Hispanics are still a little bit higher but not a lot higher.

you don't feel that when you are going to produce a kid, what parents think about is whether the little toddler will have enough space to play etc. so the suburbs are generally more conducive to have children in this sense
most people don't think about raising children in such a long term perspective to analyze whether the kid will feel good in the suburbs when he's 15 or so.
not to mention that Americans tend to move out at 18 so this "hard" teenage period doesn't last for long

Well depends on the suburb. The new suburbs are like that, but a lot of the older ones aren't too bad for the kind of walking around that kids do. I grew up in a suburb built in the 1890's and was able to walk pretty much everywhere I needed to go as a kid, since there are decent sidewalks, gridded street pattern and no massive stroads I had to cross.

Also a lot of moms are paranoid today anyways and don't give kids independence so they are fine with just driving their kids everywhere.

Exactly. Most don't really think about how it is going to be like when they're 12- they just think when their 7 and they can just open up the door and let the kid run around rather than going to a park which they find convenient. Probably not good for the kid to be playing in his backyard rather than socializing with other kids in a park but whatever.

This just feeds into suburbia being counterproductive for the purposes of having kids. Just because you are okay with a terrible option does not make the option good. (not giving kids independence is terrible, also if youre driving your kid everywhere you arent having a lot of kids)
