After a month of working you’re going to wish you’d never gotten a job. I NEETed for 2 years after university applying nonstop. I thought my life was miserable then. All I did was search for and apply to jobs all day, writing endless cover letters and changing my resume. I thought it was finally over when I got an offer and immediately accepted it, desperate to get out of my parents house.
Now I hate my life 10x more. I miss the freedom I had to go do anything I wanted whenever I wanted. I miss being able to go places in the middle of a weekday and not have to deal with the post-work crowds. I miss not having to be told to do soul crushing repetitive tasks that provide me with no feelings of accomplishment. I miss seeing my parents and dog every day in their twilight years.
And I have to this every day, 5 days a week, for the majority of my waking hours. What little free time I have outside of the wage cafe is mostly spend dreading when I have to go back.
