I know a guy who worked in accident cleanup for railways (mostly suicides; this is in Europe, not India). He said it really takes a mental toll on the train drivers especially. Also his team sometimes struggled to find some of the body parts but would sign documents saying they found everything just to be able to restart the train traffic.

you dont think about cars the same way, its obviously going to kill or hurt you if you get hit by one but they are far softer and the driver will try to panic brake or turn around you. a train only has one way to go, it barely has brakes and everything on it is made from thick solid steel.
