I think it's pretty logical. I am a refugee myself, although I am from Ukraine. The people that end up here as refugees have to console themselves with the idea that now they are the bottom of the barrel, that the locals look down upon them (I can feel it as a white foreigner, must be much worse for stereotypically looking Muslims) and that their career options are limited to unskilled labour or blue collar work. I assume that due to lack of white collar jobs many people in the Midde East felt more equal with the other members of society, meanwhile now they have to shovel shit or carry heavy loads while looking at ethnic Germans driving expensive cars on the way to the McHamburger HQ office. This must give fuel for resentment and refugees are more accustomed to violence than the natives, so using violence to improve your societal standing or get money is pretty logical.

That's an interesting perspective I haven't considered before. I usually hear pretty inclusive and accepting words towards immigrants coming from germans online, is it that different in the real life? I feel that being looked at differently than the ethnic people of the place is a guaranteed expereince that shouldn't cause trauma in the immigrant, what else did they expect? As long as there's no actual harm, they shouldn't get hung up over it. It only proves the idea ethnic germans have that muslims are superficially, generally harmful and violent. What fucking retards. You should check out the German English language subreddit and see people there complaining about lack of friends. And keep in mind that the people complaining are not Muslims. I am quite socially active and failed to get German friends despite trying pretty hard, Germans are outwardly polite and unlikely to insult you but if you pay attention to how they conduct themselves in real life with foreigners, you will notice hostility. Most foreigners in Germany seem to live in a cultural bubble, either interacting only with their own diaspora (Latinos, Ukrainians, Pashtuns and various Arabs) or banding up together and forming international immigrant groups if they know English. But even the white collar workers with English knowledge tend to hang out with other immigrants rather than Germans. Ukrainians live in their own bubble here and I am sure the Muslims are even more culturally isolated from the rest than we are. In fact, I don't know a single Ukrainian man who has/had a German friend or a German girlfriend, you pretty much have to be a woman and date the local to hope for any active social life

Thanks for telling me this. I had lurked the english german subreddit but felt like I haven't found anything important. People in my country are calling Germany "depressing" and always complain about the existential crisis of objectively great country and a blessed life but absolutely no friends or family and total solitude. With EU's bullshit online privacy laws, it feels like the regular shitposting online for socialization might be a bit hard too... My perspective widened a bit, I didn't think it'd be this bad.
I wish good luck on forming a group of friends to go drinking with, ukrainianbro.
