In a world of unlikable celebrities, Mike Rowe always stands out as one of the most uniquely and aggressively unlikable. Of course the caricature he plays on TV would take it as the highest praise if it came from boss man. I say this, even when that's an obviously fake quote

If you'd read his autobiography, or even watched one of Mike's shows for a bit, you'd know none of what you just wrote makes a lick of damn sense.
Mike Rowe grew up in an old coal mining town in West Virginia. Well, times were tough, and opportunity was scarce. But like his pioneer ancestors, Mike made it work. He dropped out of middle school and worked two jobs at the age of 13, and shoveled snow on weekends to boot. Most kids move out at 18, Mike used his savings to buy himself a car and get his own place by 16. From there, he did the dirtiest jobs he could find, sometimes commuting several hours just to cut lumber, or clean stables. He leveraged this set of experiences into a successful tv series, and the rest is, as they say, history.

My autobiography says that I am war veteran of the WW1, WW2, the Vietnam, the Korean and the Afghanistan wars, in all of them I fought on the American side.
