Yes. Allowing Perestroika was the worst thing the US ever did. All that happened after the soviet collapse was Russia shedding its dead weight. They didn't even repay the gosplan benefits to former USSR countries, it's part of the reason why the butthurt belt hates them so much. Russia right now is stronger than its ever been and no one wants to talk about it.

Russians look out for their own, like Serbs do, like you do. The reality we see is twisted by our own brain.
However it's you that acts like the ultimate moral compass. You're the type to bomb a maternity ward and then call it "Hyper surgical police action against terrorism". At least people around here are honest. Those who commit evil just hate the other side's guts and see nothing wrong with it.

Serbia is poorer, yes. EU assigns funds on the side for poorer shitholes for restauration purposes, though. And also for infrastructure.
That's why eastern European city centres all look good these days. Germans paid for it all.
But the people are still the same. Poland, Romania, Hungary are all blackholes of gibs. When foreign money goes dry it will go back to the usual.

In the end mentality matters the most. Serbs do not have a good mentality, and mentality of a collective cannot change through the effort, that never happened anywhere.

It's also important to note that 2-3 years ago on some anniversary, a NATO representative said to our media that the alliance didn't want to intervene and help Croatia because during the first years they didn't want Yugoslavia to collapse which is basically indirectly saying they supported the Yugoslav army.
Meanwhile Russia was basically the only one arming us. Then when Croatia entered NATO it had to give away the S-300 system to the US lol.

US threatened Yugoslavia many times. We also got sanctioned to hell. The army was disfunctional, the economy bit the dust in the 80s already, when shit hit the fan we were already a banana republic. All that equipment was worthless since the cadre was full of non-Serbs and it took years of restructuring. The number of equipment and soldiers on paper is not the whole story. This is why in 1999 Yugoslav army could actually put up a fight.
On top of that, Yugoslav army never trained to do what we were supposed to do.
Milosevic was threatened that if he does not withdraw from Croatia, there will be an intervention. JNA withdrew, and we left RSK only non-heavy equipment. The threat of intervention was made a lot of times after that, in Bosnia too. The war was completely controlled by America as Milosevic was righftully scared of American intervention.
Why the army didn't succeed in Croatia in the initial period of non-support from the US - I already said. Also, Serbs protested against the mobilization for Croatia. The war was not popular. I have no idea why this is, I can only speculate.

Key factors of Croatian success was Germany, which offered economic, military and diplomatic support.
>Meanwhile Russia was basically the only one arming us
Weapons were smuggled in before the war even started. From eastern German stockpiles. But it is correct that Russian iglas helped a lot, for example.
>Then when Croatia entered NATO it had to give away the S-300 system to the US lol.
S-300 you got was not functional in the first place, it was just brought in for the parade. I don't know if we knew this back then but it didn't matter anyways.

Because of Titoism and Yugoism, to this day it's the most spread in Serbia, not because of economic reasons but out of social ones. Tito's grave is still in Belgrade. This country is sick since 1919. Honestly, you might as well ask me how to turn on a stove.
Serbia, like every other country, is controlled by neoliberal elites that worship money above all else.
They want foreign workers because they'll demand 300-500 euros, they don't want to pay Serbs 800. Plus, in most areas of Serbia, they'll simply tell the superiors to fuck off (or quit the job) if they demand something stupid or think they can fuck them. Because there's enough jobs these days.
Foreigners will work for pennies and eat all the shit. Just like we did 20-30 years ago when people had little options.

There's near zero Serbs who support refugees. Only paid party shills are told to repeat bullshit.

True enough, but Russian fertility rates are completely fucked. Muslims keep on having more and more kids (they usually have at least 4-5 kids - that's why the French, Brits, etc. are kinda fucked), they will completely outbreed the native population. It will happen with time. Plus, hundreds of thousands (idk the current estimates) of your native young males were killed in the war (not many muslims I would presume) and your government is already talking about the need to import more foreigneirs to suplement the giant loss of young men. Also, isn't there already a million or two of muslim migrants in Moscow alone? The prediction really doesn't seem that unrealistic. Unless there is a big boom of Russian's reclaiming their Christian roots, muslims will take over

I guess, same things for Nordic countries? I don't think they're in deep shit. However, France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany are. You're in little danger as you have Ukrainians and few other migrants, that satisfies your elites I guess.
I think Russian problems lie in internal apparatus. In the end they survived many attacks on them but internal collapses were the most damaging.

>A Korean exchange student (a fairly left-leaning 20 something yo chick) told me that Koreans like the Chinese and vice versa
She likely has a Chinese mail-order bride mum or Northern China-born immigrant who moved to South Korea. A recent survey found that about nearly 90 percent of South Koreans find China repulsive. In South Korea, keywords used to describe China and the Chinese include tacky, corny, uncool, cheap, dishonest, unhygienic, and uncivilized etc. Here, except for Chinese takeaway food, almost all keywords related to China are negative. South Koreans hate Japan because of its invasion of East Asia and war crimes, not because the Japanese are uncivilized and unhygienic. Similarly, when Japanese people are hostile toward South Korea, it's because of political reasons like territorial disputes and economic and sports rivalries, not because they dislike South Koreans or Korean culture. In both South Korea and Japan, no one likes China or the Chinese.

I don't understand why, in the 21st century, Belarusians are forced to live with their freedom of speech suppressed by Putin and Belarusian Kim Jong-un, and are subjected to beatings and torture by secret police. They are among the poorest people in Europe, despite having a decent basic education.

Well, that sucks for you. We're going the same route, only with a slight delay. We were once called the hardest working people of Europe, making high quality products for pennies. Now when we actually want decent pay for our quality work, people west of us would rather pay slave wages to thirdies for their shit unskilled work. Now even the rich Czech retards and their companies say that Czechs are lazy and demand "insane" wages, which of course means they would rather replace a single Czech Guy with a 100 jeets and still save money. Despite making fun of Serbs (in a friendly manner), I actually like you guys, at least until you call you call us EU slaves/fags or suck up to Russia too much, lol. I hope we figure shit out, and the same for you

Discussing political directions and history is rookie talk, however, still important. Discussing what the modern nation-states turned into and how individuals factor here is more interesting these days.
Because why die as a state who wants to replace me with someone else, because they can save 200 euros? Why die for a state that will open borders for women, but will mobilize me? What is a country without women and children? Why do only I have to uphold a social contract? Why does state not factor in except to collect your taxes (this is maybe okay in America, this is not the approach for other cultures). Why can't I scalp the thief in my own home and throw his skull outside? Why do you get prison when doing justice, and the criminals are protected by law? Why can't you own a gun easily through reasonable lawful ways? The people that misuse guns will have them anyways.
Why is police never on the streets like before?

These are all interesting topics. More than Russia, Serbia, Croatia, etc. I hate NATO and don't wanna join that club, I don't need 30 posts to say that.

>hundreds of thousands (idk the current estimates) of your native young males were killed in the war (not many muslims I would presume) and your government is already talking about the need to import more foreigneirs to suplement the giant loss of young men
Yawn. The average age of an SMO soldier is like a 45 y.o.

Eurotrash doesn't have "freedom of speech", EUSSR is a quasi-liberal (in name only) fascist zionist dictatorship. Eurogoycattle imprisons people for supporting Russia or Palestine.

go to yt and search for videos asking japs what their favorite country is
ironically, south korea consistently ranks as the japanese citizen's one of the favorite countries and the #1 country they'd most like to go, while nearly 0 japanese consistently say they like china
in east asia, chinese are deeply reviled and have a low status and poor reputation

Oh and the stray dog problem, until EU values hunters would go in and simply shoot them and throw them into the truck.
I didn't have a problem with this but because of my new job I have to work in some shitty quasi gyppo district. There's a chance of me getting mangled because Ursula thinks this is heckin valid.

Even if they have only 2-3 kids per family, how would that not be a problem if Russian's don't birth any kids? The government rolled out new benefits for women and families, but it didn't do shit. Muslims, on the other hand, love social benefits and will birth more kids if it's lucrative enough. That, plus the immigrants already in Russia, and the millions the government plans to import to replace the population loss, could seriously change the country's demographics. It would be naive not to consider this. Also, I believe the northern states are equally fucked as France etc. The are very left-leaning and tolerant to the migrants' bs, to their own detriment. There's been a gang war going on between Pakis and Afgans for years in Stockholm and they are barely doing anything to combat it

Damn, that's pretty eye opening, thanks for clearing it up. Also kinda scary, there seems to be a weirdly forced pro-China sentiment in my country recently, despite Chinese state-backed hackers trying to spy on our government a few months back. There are also many more Chinese nationals in Czechia recently, immigrants and students - met some of them on campus. Hopefully the Japanese will finally acknowledge the terrible shit they did to you guys and make a proper long-awaited deserved apology. In case China tries to fuck with either of you, it would be better to be whole-heartedly on the same side.

Shit, you are right. I knew that the Chinese hate the Japanese, but I didn't know Japan's stance on China. They have a bad rep here as well. Despite being rich as fuck (as they are CCP dicksuckers, probably wouldn't be allowed to travel outsider of China otherwise), the Chinese tourists behave terribly. They are loud, often refuse to speak English and require you to use mandarin or an app translator, don't use trash bins and piss/shit on the ground in the public. I actually saw this myself when I was on a school trip to Prague as a 9yo. Went to a backalley to buy water in a shop and saw a bunch of Chinese grannies taking a shit next to 700yo building (btw, it had a plaque to commemorate Czech victims of communism). Koreans and the Japanese are probably the most loves tourists here, better behaved than most Czechs, they show great respect and even admiration for our culture and are overall very friendly. I wish more Japanese and Korean tourists went to Czechia and fewer Chinese and Russian ones.

If anyone in the world knows China and its people better than anyone else, it's the South Koreans or the Japanese. Chinese are fundamentally different from us. They have no understanding of, or interest in, the importance of individual freedom and freedom of speech. The Chinese themselves say, "Freedom and democracy are luxuries to the Chinese. They must be forcibly disciplined and controlled by the government, like dogs and pigs." The Czech Republic should never be close to China. All the Asian countries that have been friendly with China (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia) have gone bankrupt and ceded their key infrastructure to the Chinese government. The Chinese are extremely cunning and skilled businessmen. Europeans like you will likely always lose money in dealings with such despicable and immoral people like Chinese.

I don't doubt you since you have experience with the Chinese. We were going down a thorny path a decade ago as our president was a bootlicker to both China and Russia, but after the spying scandal, many Czech businesses have withdrawn from the Chinese market and the government is blocking investments from China. Not an ideal situation, but it's gonna get better. Currently, we're trying to move away from China and establish a business relationship with Taiwan and South Korea. I believe we have contracted a South Korean company to build new nuclear power plant blocks, hopefully that will be a start to a mutually benefitial relationship between our countries.
