But that doesn't matter at all. It's about who commissioned the work, who is the owner. The owners are Croatian aristocrats. St. Petersburg was built by Italian architects, so it's a Russian city, not an Italian one. You're probably taught in school that Croats are some IQ 80 illiterate barbarians who lived in the villages while the Italians were the city aristocracy and artists. The truth is the opposite, Croatian aristocrats and artists lived in the cities, and a great many Croatian professors, artists and theologians worked at universities in Italy.
