I took an online IQ test and I got 108 first time. After repeating a couple of times (it's always different questions but the way you have to think is the same) I managed to get 131.

While you can, to an extent, study for the IQ test the tests are designed in such a way that they don't require significant prior knowledge and you aren't supposed to study for them.

Now obviously you can cheat and study, which is why they are difficult for individual IQ testing and especially for tests where there is a reward as a result of good performance, such as job placement etc.

The tests can still however be used for individual evaluation, but steps should be taken to make sure that people don't or cannot study for them. For example the Finnish army uses IQ tests for placement of recruits, however, in the army for almost everyone it is the first time in their life they see such a test and certainly nobody has studied for it.
