The problem with Indians is that they cant grasp that there are fucked up things about their country, they always deflect and claim you actually hate them for being brown or hindu or whatever. That way you wont fix anything. I once saw a Brazilian scientist talking well about Indian space program, and he used terms like "even though they are a poor country, they get extremely better results from Brazil". Even though he did claim India was doing better than Brazil in that field, Indians offended him a lot for him to say India is poor. Since he is fat they bullied his appearence a lot, and he did not want to offend Indians at all.

Its usually the case 90% of the time. You dont realise it because you arent the subject to it, and the religious minorities have been almost wiped out by abrahamics centuries ago in most of the abrahamic world, but its still much of an ongoing process here, and non-muslims here became really radical in response. As someone with Indian ancestry, I’ve just gotten fed up of the rampant ultranationalism and taking every criticism as a personal insult. They can and do have the capability to pull themselves out of this hole, but they will never be able to fix a problem if they cannot even acknowledge that one exists.
