I've never met one Dominican, Haitian, Jamaican or Cuban in my life, I've met one Puerto Rican guy who I don't even know anymore
Why do people act like Caribbeans are a common thing to see in America?

It's way more common in New York. Here in California it's rare but I do meet Puerto Ricans often enough. Only met one Haitian. Never met a Dominican. Have seen some Jamaicans and even had a black female Jamaican professor and Chinese Jamaican professor. Oh and Cubans aren't super rare here either.
