our friendship with Hungary is vastly overexaggerated, it was more like lack of extensive contact throughout centuries (we were separated by tall mountains) with single events here and there where we helped each other, which by eastern European standards where every country wanted to genocide all his neighbors could be deemed enough for "friendship"
but every time Polish-Hungarian contacts got tightened, our relations quickly deteriorated because some reasons for a conflict usually appeared sooner or later.
both Poles and Hungarians barely know anything about each other and when Poles think about Hungary we usually mean their beautiful cities, Balaton lake, wine and all that tourist stuff, we don't really care about their politics that much
and I wouldn't say that "Hungarians like Russia" either, more like it's just Orban's idea to milk two cows at once, if they had a different government, they could have the same attitude to Russia like Poland
