Happy Śrī Kṛṣṇa Janmāṣṭamī to Bharatbros!
I'd like to confess an attribute of Krishna that makes me really resentful as a male Hindu: He is supposed to be a beautiful femboy who charms men and women alike, but he exclusively sleeps with a thousand female gopis, implying that only femoids are offered that level of intimacy with Him.
This makes me deeply resentful. Does it make you resentful too?

It is unfair that he is reserved exclusively for women.

anyone interested to give me a tl;dr on Hinduism? I feel it's possible with Christianity to put the basic message and main points in a single 4chan post, if the same is possible for Hinduism I'd like to read it.

>Śūrpaṇakhā
FUCK, it makes me SO FUCKING MAD.
Even this demonic, ugly rapist femcel got to fuck Krishna. So unfair.
Why do women have it so good in Hinduism, bros? And why do men have it so bad?
Men rarely ever get to fuck gods or goddesses in Hinduism, but women fuck them all the time. Even fucking female demons.

I can't give you a tl;dr on all of Hinduism, but I can give you a tl;dr on Krishna.
>born in prison, prophesied to kill evil uncle Kamsa
>smuggled out as baby, raised by foster parents in cowherd village
>childhood: butter thief, prankster, demon-slayer, flute god
>lifts Govardhan Hill with pinky to save villagers from Indra’s storm
>teen arc: every village girl (gopi) thirsts for him
>literally dance the rasa-lila, multiply himself to be with each gopi at once
>love story with Radha becomes symbol of divine love
>later: return to Mathura, kill Kamsa, free real parents
>establish city of Dwaraka, rule as king
>marry Rukmini + 16,000 rescued princesses (each gets their own palace)
>serve as Arjuna’s charioteer in Mahabharata
>drop Bhagavad Gita
>show infinite cosmic form (Vishvarupa)
>Pandavas win with his strategy
>endgame: Yadava clan destroys itself, Dwaraka sinks
>hunter shoots him in foot (weak spot), human form dies due to past karma
>return to Vishnu status

thank you
is there a central message to Hinduism or is it "just" a collection of different deities and customs?

Krishna is such a beautiful name, i respect everyone when someone has that name out of devotion to the OG.

Brahman is the Godhead - an omnipotent, everblissful, radically free being. As an expression of its bliss it "sings" or "dreams" realities into existence the same way a human expresses their emotions as song. Every being in reality has a spark of Brahman in them. The goal of life is to reconnect with Brahman over many lifetimes by doing good works, devotional love, and spiritual discipline. The Gods in Hinduism are distinct aspects of Brahman. Krishna, an Avatar, is the Godhead in the flesh. In India, Jesus is often viewed as an Awakened sage or Guru.

Hinduism has several sects and philosophies.
Here are the principles of the dominant school of thought, Advaita Vedānta:
>There is only one ultimate reality (Brahman).
>Your true self (Atman) is not separate from that reality.
>The world of differences is a kind of illusion (māyā).
>Ignorance makes us feel separate and bound.
>Liberation comes from realizing your oneness with the absolute.
But this is just one school of thought. Hinduism has several other schools of thought, including atheism (Cārvāka).

thanks, that's new to me. Pretty nice concept desu, I can see the appeal.
did Hinduism replace Buddhism in India, and if so, why?
>>213872899
thank you
so it seems like a way less dogmatic religion than the Abrahamitic ones.

Buddhism is demanding and impersonal (at least traditional Indian Buddhism). It declined in India due to figures like Adi Shankaracharya but more in part due to the Bhakti (devotional) movement which swept India. In Bhakti, devotional love for a personal God, good works, and kindness again became a valid avenue of spiritual growth - as opposed to asceticism, study, and extreme self-restraint.
As the movement grew kings in India began providing less patronage to Buddhist institutions. Strongholds of Buddhism remained in modern-day Afghanistan and Pakistan but were obliterated during the Islamic invasions

Advaita Vedanta isn't the dominant school of thought.
It's popular among deracinated city dwellers.

It's not a real, organised religion. Modern Hinduism was created by V.D. Savarkar in the 1920s. Prior to that it was just a bunch of animist-esque tribes hooting and hollering.
