When we were a poor(er) country, we had metal bags because it was cheaper than plastic in the long run.

Plastic bottles are the main source of the microplastics actually.

this seems wasteful. You'd have to consume all of it immediately. Jugs are superior.

Plastic bottles are only the main source of microplastics because they're more widespread than buying liquids in a fucking plastic bag lmao

microplastics come from rubber tires (they wear down, the bits of rubber have to go somewhere), city dust (same thing mostly, vehicles tearing shit up) and synthetic clothing (when they're washed)
normal plastic doesn't just start shedding bits of itself at random, you have to manhandle them, or heat them up, plastic food wrappings produce basically no microplastics unless you do an indian burn on them a bunch before opening them

Anonymous Argentina No.213875223
>>213875059
most of the microplastics in your body do come from those
people wash their synthetic clothes, or rain washes a bunch of rubber particles into a river, and your town eventually uses some of that water for your drinking water, microplastics are essentially a water contamination problem
avoidind plastic bottles and wrappings makes basically no difference, you have to move somewhere upstream where there's less urban development shitting up the local water sources

i'd say 50% of milk is sold in these bottles here, 40% in cardboard bottles and 10% in glass. Thank you for your attention

I prefer when they're stored in funbags.
Anonymous Brazil No.213876656
>>213874314
i assume they're for raw milk, so they're meant to be consumed within 2~3 days of shipping so putting them in a plastic bag comes out cheaper

Ketchup was invented before plastic bottles were invented.
Anonymous Sweden No.213879862

Yes, that's understandable. But that's not a reason to keep it in glass bottles today.
Having any sort of thick substance in a glass bottle (without an opening large enough for a spoon) is retardation.
