the real reason why most white americans don’t have much of a “european” feel to them is because the vast majority of them are of German descent, and on two separate occasions they had to fight a bloody, ruthless war against Germany, making them come to disassociate from their ethnic background
this is also why other white americans (like the irish, polish, and even anglo-americans) are more likely to claim their ethnic background
