The chinks in that photo deserve it. They are smug elitists that think that because they went and studied CS (AI is replacing them lmao), they are more valuable than a plumber in rural Kansas. They're also soulless consumerists and obsessed with the cosmopolitan urban lifestyle.

It’s normal to have a sense of pride about yourself if you’ve done something most people can’t.
Most of them can be trained up to be plumbers. Not vice-versa.

They're status obsessed chinks with no souls. Their identity revolves around their university, which is pathetic and means they lack an interesting personality. I have an engineering degree and I think a welder or journeyman with 10+ years experience is an exceptionally valuable person, more than me who just started his career.

it's both
empty 2d midwits who have cs/business/eng degrees and work in california are often just that, ask them anything outside their work and they're clueless. ask them their favorite music, movies, things to do etc. and you'll get the most default generic responses like kendrick lamar and "I enjoy hiking". it's why they struggle in the dating market, no one wants to date a linkedin profile. and it's why many of them will make no more difference in the world than a mcdonalds cashier.
on the other hand, they do make money and a stable career is a good launchpad for doing anything else. people who don't have this are often coping about the people. they might think they are superior because they do manual labor or because they were in the army (Iol). due to both international students making american universities money, and hiring practices skewing in favor of h1bs and immigrants who might get deported and have no rights, there is a racial component as well. racism is a good cope for when you see certain groups overrepresented and doing better than you.

although I would like to not conflate the high achieving chinese/korean/indian immigrants (mostly chinese here) with the recent flood of low skilled indians that started in canada but seems to be flooding the usa as well. most people, including the most liberal friends I grew up with, are now deeply racist towards these new indians (indians I knew growing up actually hate the new arrivals the most). this kind of racism is justified imo.

This entire board is smug white autists who studied CS and think they’re better than janitors and convenience store workers from Latin America and the Middle East.
