maybe to westoids it's the same but to me Hungarian culture is really different from everything else in eastern Europe, not just Slavic cultures but also Balkan or Romanian or Baltic
I'd hazard a guess that Hungary is the only truly distinct culture in this region which isn't an amalgam of several neighboring cultures. The language is really only one of things, maybe even less relevant one. It's about how they build their houses, organize their family, how they put their surname before their name, how they love their baths, let alone their cuisine which is like from an outer world. You can clearly feel they are their own thing. When I as a Pole visit let's say Serbia, I feel at home, everything is recognizable to me, I feel like I think with the same patterns like these people. But Hungary feels competely foreign.

Prekmurje and Medjimurje are similar to Hungary for obvious reasons, and I'm sure the parts of Slovakia, Romania etc that were under direct Hungarian rule with Hungarian population are as well

yes and no, obviously some similarities are visible but also some differences, which can be attributed to the general slav-hungarian distinction
for example in Hungary nuclear families were a thing much earlier than in slavlands, you can still see it clearly, in Hungary several-floor multigenerational houses are almost absent, meanwhile once you cross into Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, they're already everywhere
