Do other countries eat these, or do only Americans?

Why are they so addictive? Just consumed a whole boxful of them.

We used to have a circle shaped one called "Goal!" that was hockey puck themed and was popular 10-15 years ago.
Now there are some Oreo branded icecream sandwiches like that.
I don't think anyone makes them at home.

After Statoil was taken over by Circle K and fully rebranded, they started importing Reese's butter cups and they went over clean with me.
I also tried Hershey's and maybe the ones we get are made in Europe they aren't as terrible as some people say they are. Would not go out of my way to get them, but were fine.

Ice Cream sandwich are common worldwide, the 6 ounces Neapolitan version is my favorite.. It begs the question why are they called ice cream sandwich when they look like Export Soda crackers.

I haven't eaten candy or icecream in over a decade. I lost most of my teeth in a longboard accident so I have to be careful.

Yeah, they're common here. Wonder if it's the same brand even. Realized GB or whatever it's called abroad is pretty international, but I think they've tried to make it appear as if they're a local thing in each country. Owned by Unilever now.

I think of Klondike Bars, as Iโ€™ve always heard them called, as just a rectangular slab of vanilla ice cream coated in chocolate, no sandwich/wafer/biscuit element involved. Perhaps they did or do also make an ice cream sandwich version, but Iโ€™ve never noticed it. I assume they still exist.

Iโ€™ve seen variations on the ice cream sandwich all over Europe, where I lived for half my life, including the basic/classic format in OPโ€™s picture. My children liked the Oreo version when we lived in Switzerland.

In my current home base of California thereโ€™s a popular local version called the Itโ€™s-It, which is an ice cream sandwich made with oatmeal cookies and coated in chocolate. Theyโ€™re pretty good but Iโ€™ve always found the chocolate coating an unnecessary messy addition that adds little value to the flavor.
