I'm from Warsaw and I think they were retarded, it was especially bad because the people who died in that uprising were mostly students that could have helped rebuild Poland after the war. We literally lost the youngest and best educated portion of our population.

In 1941 Nazis invaded the USSR, occupying all of Poland in the meantime
In 1944-45 the Soviets pushed Nazis out of (all of) Poland
In 1945 there was border change, the Soviets took eastern Poland for themselves forever, but gave Poland a piece of Germany in exchange.

Am I the only one who finds it demonic that America named its bombers "liberators"? It's literally as if the modern day Israelis were to scribble hearts on the bombs that they're dropping in gaza right now. Everyone would be outraged at the humiliation ritual and the satirization of suffering, but no one seems to care that the targeted civilian bombardment was mockingly called an act of liberation delivered by liberators.
