I feel like one of the few people on 4chan that loves Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, etc culture. I love the food, music, and every Jeet I met was really friendly.

I want to buy a cheap motorbike and travel around the region for a couple months and have a few questions.
1. How much should I focus on Hindi/Urdu vs other languages like Bengali or Tamil? Would it be better to just focus on Hindi/Urdu or learn basic phrases in multiple languages?
2. How dangerous are the locals really? I plan on being in smaller villages and towns instead of cities. I've read some horror stories online but maybe those were just very unlucky encounters. I don't dress flashy and will be avoiding women, which is gonna be hard because they're the most beautiful to me. Don't want any jealous exbfs with nothing to lose on my ass.

shops, taxis, street food vendors might overcharge you or try to rip you off but aside from that no one's gonna bother you, you might get stares and some people might ask you for a selfie but that's about it. people will be friendly if you don't act like a complete asshole.

My friend had enough of the tedious UK and did the whole Kashmir to Kunyakumari length. Enjoyed it so much he became a tour guide there. Little bit of Hindi is fine (if you pick up some basic please/thanks yous of the local state language that obviously goes well). Careful with driving esp at night.

Also my parent's friend left here decades ago as he got a job in Interlakken, married a local Swiss girl and they live happily ever after with 4 kids.

From what I understand the tribal areas in the South East can be dangerous, but you'll probably get a better idea of where to go and where to avoid if you do the research. As for Bihar, while it does have Buddhist religious tourists...it's just very poor. The closest I've been is Western UP and that was quite a shock compared to more modern areas.
