I didn't need them removed but that's because the top left one is naturally missing and the top right is small.

two of my wisdom teeth grew in perfectly, one grew in properly but is half the height of a normal tooth for some reason
the 4th literally does not exist (proven by dental x-rays)

My dentist tried to remove mine on several instances when I was in high school and luckily my dad stepped in to tell them to fuck off. When he was younger his dentist removed his because he didn't know any better and didn't have a father to advocates for him. Still brings it up on occasion and brings up that the feeling is similar to missing a testicle. This sort of thing seems to be fairly common here
