What makes people joun the EU and have some poorly educated unelected dumb cont like Ursula von der Lajno's sovereignty over them? Joining the schengen zone is enough, I think.

You can't join the Schengen zone anymore without becoming a member of the EU. They kept that only for the countries that are already in Schengen

Joining the Eurozone and adopting the euro as your currency without being a EU member are not the same thinh. You are limiting the ammount of control you have over your own economy because then you're not printing any money, you're exclusively relying on the bank notes that come into the country from the outside. It's the EU countries that print the euro. If a real crisis ever shows up those countries will completely rely on what happens in the EU
