Mutt parents DEMAND rent from their kids when they turn 18...
Does this seem normal to you? the only thing that forces westie parents to give any capacity of a shit towards their own flesh and blood and the life they brought into this world through their own volution is the law, the moment they turn 18 they get an eviction notice for a birthday present, make a fuss and your own mother calls the cops on you to spend your birthday night in the police station's cell.

Your parents are supposed to always help you out in life no matter what, the strongest instinct a human being has, more power than self preservation even, is the bond between parent and child.
Here in Tunisia mothers and fathers cry when their sons are taken for mandatory military service a rather short and not by any means tough military service, they cry because they don't want to be deprived of seeing their own sons not because anything bad will happen to them.
For the familial bonds to be this dead in westies you must all be sick in the heart and in the head.
If there's one thing I'm thankful for in life it's having a mother and father who even if the whole world turned their backs on me I can count on them to always be by my side through my darkest hours and mend my wounds and help me back on my feet if ever I need money or have trouble with the law or need emotional support or anything.

No woman can ever love me purely and unconditionally like my dear ol' ma loves me, no man will desire success for me more so than for himself unlike my own dear ol' pa. I'm blessed to not be born in a westie family.

This is dated, pretty much everyone I know stayed with their parents as long as they wanted to, which usually wasn't long to be fair, but I've never met a single person who got kicked out at 18.

i was not taken for service i volunteed, i also left home for school at 18 and have always made my own money. i never paid rent to them i think my brother and his gf/daughter paid some when they used the old grandma house.
i can absolutely guarantee you our family strength, bond and love is greater than yours, you just sound like big crybabys driven by honor, fear and lazyness. your dad will never get to brag to his friends that his son just bought a house and they will go and visit him soon.
