30th birthday today. Feels like nothing. How are the rest of you 30 year olds getting along with life?

Nothing much changed when I turned 30, let alone 31. I do see people as noticeably younger than me

I'm almost 40 and have been in the same boring civil servant wageslave job for a decade. Nothing matters, nothing changes but I'm getting older every day. I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day and I have no idea how to escape.

Condolences. The last cat I owned died when I was 21 and I could never bring myself to get another one.

Sorry for your loses. Dunno about mine as the lil baby is 7 now. I never wanted a pet because I hated the loss. But there’s nothing you can do but keep them healthy a d happy for long as possible .

Hard not to get attached. But you can find solace in giving a home to another cat that needs it for as long as you’re around.

idk what to say, I turned 30 a few weeks ago, life feels pointless, boring factory job, I try to make art in my spare time but it's hard to make art when you don't feel much at all

The freaky thing is how much of a blur time becomes. Like this year is almost over already, feels like it just started. I was just thinking like what did I even do this summer, it's a three month period where I can remember a handful of key moments

The older I get, the less bad I feel about "wasting" my youth. Seeing people marry and become miserable makes me feel good compared to being in my 20s and watching everyone hook up, party, travel etc. It's only going to get better from here

>spend most days reminiscing about when I was 18-22 years old
I don't know why, it feels like the world has barely changed since then anyway. People are getting married but they are still boring and have pretty mundane existences. At least I have more money now to spend at the pub.

Pretty much the same as in my late 20s, only difference is that sometimes I think "holy shit I'm 34 already", then brush it off and go on as usual.

32 here, 33 in September. Been lurking on and off since I was in high school.
Things don't really change that much. I don't feel particularly different from someone who is 28, or 37. I think that the more we go on with generations, and the less we will see a clear "divide" between them.
For example, in my parent's generation, there was a sideral distance between a 20 years old and a 30 years old guy, in terms of habits, money, everything. Now that difference doesn't exist anymore, the age between high school and your 40s feel like an eternal, weird adolescence.
I've met 30yo people who still collect funko pops and read anime like teens, but most of them are good people and I don't consider them childish for that, they have a job, a gf, sometimes a kid, and they're happy.

just go to a hooker and lose your v card.
Being a virgin at this age is no good for your mental health. Sex become and obsession.

Lo siento anon. Seguro que tu gato ha pasado años maravillosos contigo y que le has dado una vida llena de afecto y cariño. Yo he perdido mi gata de 18 años antes del covid y aun pienso a ella. Son animales muy especiales.
My advice is to get another one, not to replace your past cat, but so you can direct the grievance you have now towards your new cat and take care of him

It's like why 99% of Japs anime represents high schoolers and teenagers. That was the time were everything was new and exciting, it was a happy or sad time depending from people but at least new things and experience were constantly happening. You were actually living life.
But life after having a job and a family just feels like a eternal routine made of work, sleep, and eat, and the occasional leisure time. There's not much to remember for our brain.

Most of my friends who got married seem happy with it and are now starting to have kids, which only alienates me from them further.

I used to think hookers were an unnecessary cope but I'm having second thoughts. No idea how to go about buying one though.
