Mount Rushmore is such a fucking scam
Do South Dakotans even realize how much better Devil's Tower is as a tourist attraction? For one thing, unlike Rushmore, it's actually fucking massive. However small you're imagining Mt Rushmore, it's even smaller than that.

But Devil's Tower? Actual natural wonder of the world. I saw it when my parents vacationed in America when I was like seven and I still remember being disappointed with Mt Rushmore, but DT just kept getting bigger and bigger in the window and it's ancient as fuck.

What an underrated gem holy shit.

Isn't that just solidified lava from a volcano that's eroded away?

Also, pretty lulzy how every site just lists Rushmore's elevation above sea level (lol) but fails to ever mention that it's prominence is only 136 m, which is smaller than the tallest """""""mountain""""" in the notoriously flat Denmark (Himmelbjerget, 147 m).

yeah but they actually look like mountains, I'm assuming that one in Denmark looks like a large hill. Same as the "mountains" in my country, which are also just glorified hills.

Hot in summer, cold in winter, complete impassable mud and swampy ground between the seasons or after the rains.
Even Napoleon had most of the casualties in his army during the summer. Due to the weather and diseases.
