that's a very reddit atheist reading i don't find convincing. if god gave us free will just to take it away later, then it wasn't important in the first place, so why was the fall even permitted? why was the tree even in the garden in the first place? why was the serpent in the garden? why did god bother with creation at all? why didn't he just make more angels if he just wanted sinless worship machines? why is something like ecclesiastes even in the bible? if life constitutes "a season for everything" how does eternal life translate to "eternal bliss where you don't even have the ability to think anyone" that's barely distinguishable from death.
