And no, I'm not irish-american at all nor am I an American fan of them, but if we talk about them we're obsessed, if we don't, we're disregarding and ignoring that poor sad pitiful nation :( . Not to mention how they blame 99% of their problems - the biggest being the near-extinction of the irish language - on the British, despite most of it being from post independence and completely on themselves.
I know we can't leave them alone and I'm sorry for that, but they also can't seem to leave us alone either. They hate when 'Irish'-Americans celebrate anything, but when they don't then their anti-American sentiments towards the rest of us skyrocket
