Because it’s a reconstructed flag of the Anglo Saxons. They had banners that probably looked similar but not this exact one which is a modern invention. England back in 1066 had no flags in the conventional sense. War banners and standards of the king and noble families but no national flag which came about in the way we know them only a few hundred years ago.

Even though I'm English, I took the blackpill and realised that Wales is actually the only part of the UK that's true to the heritage of the Britons, particularly Anglesey

The true reality is to embrace that you are British. Ethnically and nationally. England and Wales aren't meaningfully separate. Wales was part of England itself for around five hundred years and it's the Welsh Tudors who made it that way.

England and Wales were one territory in ancient times, Roman times, and they're one territory today.

Welsh nationalism is an anti-British cancer.

I actually agree with you - I’m not a Plaid shill, Welsh nationalism is cringe and anti-British. I’m not anti-English either.

What I mourn is how much of our original Brythonic heritage England lost. If you want to connect with what pre-Saxon England would’ve been like, you basically have to look to Wales, because that’s where the strongest remnants survived.

Personally I’d love to see England and Wales integrate more tightly. If Scotland and NI walked, it’d almost be poetic - we’d be left with the original British core again. A true Brythonic kingdom, dragon and all.
