Honestly not a fan of separatist movements in cases where there no longer are any legitimate grievances in terms of discrimination. AFAIK this is the case with the basques by now.

The recent basque world media coverage have been pushed by basque nationalists politicians using tax payer money (buying foreign top journalists to promote the idea that they are a nation and deserve independence).

Sadly they are full of nafris and sudakas now. They resisted the ROmans but they had not resisted wokeness.
