I've always eaten a lot of lamb and beef. Boiled and roasted vegetables. Pasta. Fish n chips sometimes.
It's mostly British food I think.

It's not as common as it once was. Our meat is probably cheaper overseas than it is here since we pay export prices with our shitty wages.

>A sausage sizzle is a community event in Australia and New Zealand[1][2] to cook and serve sausages in bread (also referred to as sausage sandwiches or sausage sizzles)[3][4][5] which are grilled or barbecued sausages (most commonly beef or pork) served in sliced bread or a bun with grilled onions and various condiments, most commonly tomato sauce, barbecue sauce or mustard.[6] The term "sausage sizzle" came into common use in the 1980s and is used primarily to refer to the barbecuing event, but also to the sausage itself, mostly in Western Australia.[6][3][4][5][7]

Nah. Like the Scandinavian settlers and Polish ww2 refugees, they assimilated so well that they vanished.

I always add onions and tomato sauce if I'm getting a sausage. I'm salivating thinking about it..
>>214020030
I've never tried that but I bet they stink. I always go for steak and cheese.

that's a copout. my mom makes baklava but that doesn't make it a Finnish pie

It is fusion but to be fair to him you asked what food we ate, not what food is unique to NZ

How could they taste bad? Its just chicken with good sauce.

>>214020299
You can put anything into a pie so its kind of irrelevant, since all pies are a form of fusion. Most people here just eat fried crap and pies for lunch anyway. Also lots of weet-bix for breakfast

Wouldn't the sauce leak out as you eat it?

If it is made thick enough then it can be fine, its the same as gravy in other pies

The best halal pizza when I was there was from an Aghan pizza place in Papatoetoe when I was there.
