Is nightcore popular in your country?

I stumbled onto a house party in Thailand where they were playing nightcore remixes of Thai songs and it was the best night of my life. Also I almost got beat up

When I still worked in the office there was a dweeb sitting next door who would listen nightcore playlists 24/7 with a lot of it leaking through his headphones.
Takes some dedication to the genre

phonk as in the underground genre spawned in 2012 was very good, the word has since been co-opted by zoomers to denote cacophony and gives phonk proper a bad name sadly

I don't get this argument. Hip hop production can be really creative with the use of sampling whereas genres like phonk or whatever the fuck usually sound like shit with overly distorted, clipped drums and some other genres just straight up take entire songs and just slow or speed them up in a DAW. Anyway, transformative works are always controversial.
