Shitty-driving related unintentional deaths shouldn't be judged as harsh as premeditated murder

It was one shitty accident that happened to cause many deaths. The driver should be judged flatly as 1 accident- the number of consequential victims should only be a secondary consideration when sentencing a criminal.

As such, 8 years (4y prison 4y parole) is more than enough punishment for shitty driving causing one accident with fatalities.

These are the Acela trains that travel through the NE corridor in the above map.

They don't go as fast as Japanese or European high speed trains (like only 100 mph), but they exist and it's probably the only profitable passenger train line in the entire USA

It's very easy to just not be a shit driver. When you decide to operate a truck, you assume responsibility for your actions while driving. When you decide to drive a truck neglectfully, you are entirely responsible, legally and morally, for any deaths you cause.
Neglectful driving is no different to firing a gun into a crowd with your eyes closed, the fact that you *might* not kill anyone doesn't absolve you of the fact that you made a conscious choice with predictable results that put other people's lives at risk. It should really be 3rd degree murder - "reckless behavior or actions that show a depraved indifference to human life"
