Reality is very complicated and one can very easily be manipulated by reframing of facts from certain angles.
This happens both by establishment institutions like universities and non-establishment institutions like podcasters with shady ties on Youtube.
Wikipedia is fine, but on contested topics there are attempts to manipulate articles and on more obscure topics it's not as reliable.

At this point, letting kids just stay at home and go wild on wikipedia all day is a better option than sending them to public school.
What I've seen from dealing with all my teenage family members who attend public schools is horrifying beyond belief. They are, as they say, permanently cooked. There is no way they will make anything of themselves in life.
