I studied double major (combined BSc Computer Science and BSc Finance) in a top 10 uni and achieved around 3.5/4.0 in muttmerican scale, just to find out that it's impossible to get a job/internship in this country if your parents or you have no real connections with industry. My parents were honest tradesmen.

I then got a full scholarship and did a Masters on Data Science. So far, I got rejected from two different unpaid internships after 4-5 round of interviews, let alone paid internships. A proper 9-5 wagecuck job is just a far and unreachable dream for me.

I hate this corrupt shithole

Job market's been saturated since January 2023 (shortly after chatGPT release date). Each single job application receives hundreds, if not, thousands of applicants. And no, it's not getting better despite reduced interest rates and anti-immigration policies. AI fucked all of us recklessly

Nigga u have finance major. Big business here have it impossible to get loan here without big4 report. Even state need you to have reports before they pay you a new tranche for subsidies

Also my country is STEM haven. We have much bigger pays in IT than Slovenes and Croats despite being much less developed. Elite manufacturing highly automatised companies that have posts in all three countries pay similar wages as they employ only engineers (due to high automatisation) and they pay them same as they pay Slovenes and Croat

Kek. You can't get anything from those corrupt shithole companies unless you've got partner-tier connections. Along with McKinsey, I think I probably applied at least 200 positions and only accepted to get an interview for two roles just to get ghosted after 4th and 6th round respectively. Not even mention those take home assignments

ITcels dont need Serbian. I have Brazilian friend working as senior in local companies with bad serbian. He works in ML and had meme huezillian IT jobs before. His office is located 30 meters from Parlament of Serbia. Its a really good company.

Try microsoft, DATABRICKS, tensetrorret, AMD. With your GPA and good algorithm test you will land 3000 euro job as junior. Databricks intership pays 2200. Your rent is like 300-400 euros. I can help you find a good flat
Are you white btw?

Average Serbian IT salary is 2609 euros compared to 2170 in Slovenia and 2010 in Croatia. According to statistical offices of said countries

Yeah, most jobs in china are blue collar, but that is because most jobs in principle are blue collar. You only need one dude to design something, and then hundreds/thousands of workers to assemble the thing.
And China does design its own software, hardware and has its own manufacturing. And their tech sector is on par with America because all of your shit is manufactured there.

A buddy from school just finished his PhD in electrochemistry, with a specialization in sodium batteries. About 10 years ago, he was super optimistic HA Awesome! Once I finish my studies, there’s going to be massive demand for experts in battery technology. The combustion engine ban is coming, and surely German management isn’t foolish enough to not fully commit to e-mobility soon.
Fast forward to today, well well well, things didn’t exactly go as planned. German industry basically pulled a Nokia and suddenly foreign competitors like BYD are dominating the market. Their EVs now cost roughly a third of a comparable brand-new German car, while offering better electronics, software, and overall features. Meanwhile, traditional German battery companies like Varta are teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, and startups like Northvolt and CellForce are down the toilet. Mass layoffs are hitting the German auto industry hard, and many once-promising careers (lol) are now in jeopardy.

My friend is now desperately trying to land an internship at CATL in Thuringia just to get a foot in the door, and he’s seriously contemplating moving to China to continue his work in battery technology. It’s ironic, reallyy we had the talent, the research, and the infrastructure, but a combination of management inertia, slow adaptation, and global competition killed us. Fuck boomers. Lol. Well done, Germany.

you could already copy a ubiquitous sort or search algorithm from anywhere online. LLMs only make it more accessible to people who know nothing who can't even form a working app with copypasted chatgpt code

when you need an algorithm for something less common the usefulness of these really falls off and it just starts spitting gibberish at you that has nothing to do with your prompt
Anonymous Germany No.214041765
>>214041705
This is absolutely irrelevant. The Chinese have grown up driving their e-bikes and e-scooters to school and they want EVs. You can continue and sell ICE cars to German and European boomers but if your company depends for 60% of its revenue on China then you are going to go bankrupt. That's the free market in action, sorry.
