In public we preserve a polite, emotionally distant facade but in reality we are a bitter frustrated people
And above all the Hungarian is always unsatisfied. We live to complain.

You dont get it. Hungarian self hate is deeply rooted in our fear of getting rejected or hated on by others. Hence we reject ourselves first so that the foreigner doesnt get the opportunity to.

Trianon, they lost like 75% of their country and a third of native speakers. Not even Germany after WW2 was treated this bad >>214043784
The food is unique in Europe and possibly even Asia, yes

well you really are weird people
when i visit hungary and try to talk to someone they usually are very quiet, avoid eye contact and uncomfortable
you seem like the most depressed nation in europe

I have an impression that romanians are more warm and happy than magyars
Hungary is a depressing black hole in middle of europe for some reason (even though it isnt that bad)

Probably because they're the only independent, distinctive culture in eastern Europe which makes them suffer while surrounded by repetitive pieces of slop without their own clear identity.
>>214044442 >Hungarian self hate is deeply rooted in our fear of getting rejected or hated on by others
I think it's kinda all of north-eastern Europe's complex. At least we have that here too. I believe only balkanoids don't because they have a lot of sun so they don't know what suffering is.
>>214044446 >Trianon, they lost like 75% of their country and a third of native speakers. Not even Germany after WW2 was treated this bad
Why would they care though? What would it change in life of an average Hungarian if their country was bigger? Their country is actually good enough as it is. It's one of the best places to live in eastern Europe.

population is not important unless you want to roleplay an empire
would you rather live in a small Liechtenstein or giant India?
>salt mines >woodland >coal
pretty much irrelevant today
and the rest of losses is more or less proportional to lost population so per capita they didn't really lose anything
>>214045454 >Start WW1 to do a land grab against Serbs on obvious bullshit reasoning (Serbs only agreed to 10 of our 11 demands ackshually!!!!) >Plunge the whole of Europe into war >Lose >Get punished
No way?!?!?!

Let it die brother, Hungary needs to be forgotten. The future of the potent Hungarian seed is in the wombs of fertile southeast asian women.

True. >I will be a true member for myself of the Hungarian nation, whose national character was once defined by the saying: It weeps as it dances, and dances as it dies. - Kisfaludy SΓ‘ndor, 1796
