You tried to. Never forget that the reason the saxons were able to invade and occupy britain was because the hibernic tribes raided and pillaged roman britain, leaving the native brits weak and helpless. You were directly responsible for your own persecution.

scotts raided them a bunch but the irish could never retaliate because they never invented seagoing vessels. also the irish were a loose confederation of cattle herds constantly fighting with each other like red indians which is probably why they got along so well over here. they bonded over a love of pointless violence and cheap firewater

All peoples in all the lands would have done this and worse. We wrongly assume that because a group did not commit horrific acts on a sufficiently large scale, that they chose not to, or even more incorrectly, that they were incapable of such evils. It was never for lack of trying, but for lack of the means.

thats how every nation and every people in history would have been / were, they h8 us cause they 8nt us, all the coping and seething you hear fundamentally boils down to this, from shitting on the food to insisting that brown is the prettiest eye colour

in Jungian terms, you and England are the yin and the yang, you are one, whether you accept it or not. Its just that Ireland is the part that got repressed. Now you must go through the dark night of the soul and confront that there is an oppressor within you as well. You will emerge stronger from this.

i genuinely do believe this is true, and other empires did it whenever they were able to, if to a lesser magnitude because the tech wasn't as advanced. but there are still situations which from today's point of view were fucking barbaric, e. g. the burning of Cork. Do you think that the level of consciousness back then was lower than it is today? Maybe back then it made sense to do that because all of us were a bit more animals than now. Or else how do you explain some of the brutality?

Life was brutish and cruel and so people were brutish and cruel to deal with it. The vast majority of the world is a garden compared to the past, even the thirdie poverty-holes

Arabs are a great example of this, on social media they constantly jump between "help please we are helpless victims of imperialism, oh the humanity" and "haha we conquered and enslaved everyone across the mediterranean and will do it again, muh caliphate, muh al-andalus vghhh"

Ireland could've prevented a whole lot of pain if there were a land bridge. There would've been a lot more natural migration and created less of the us vs them fake Irish identity. Protestantism would've spread better if the impression the Irish had of it was that it was the English oppressor's religion. Scotland, Wales, etc. are successful extensions of England because the geographic connection made it more natural and friendly and less susceptible to divide and conquer by papist leftist swarthoid foreigners. Ireland is probably the most historically botched waste of potential to come out of the modern age.
