This is a psy-op age. Existing tendencies and questionable behavior can be easily made worse in public perception, and that worsening can in turn be used to worsen actual behavior.
India has complex issues, partly due to castes, partly due to population amount, and so on. Others know about it. India doesn't address them, and narratives that make everything worse, coupled with justified fear and hate in respect to what they know about India, start to feed irrational behavior. Repeat in any nation.
All sides contribute, the result is the same, despair.

I don't get it either. They're batshit insane with some sort of kneejerk reflex. I get disliking or even hating certain nations in general, but there are limits to things. You say some perfectly innocent shit like "lassi is pretty good" or "Chinese temples look nice" and they will proceeed to REEEEEEE and dump a thousand copypastas about poo and insects and what have you.
