That is probably part of it, but it might be even more fundamental than that. It might be related to that certain wave lengths of light that interfere with our sleep patterns and hormones, and this reverberates on other stuff.
I think there is more to it too. Which kinda goes what you just said, that we are expected to do way more than people used to think, as in we have too keep up with news about whatever is happening everywhere, plus our own life, and all those things are being updated in real time.
And I would say that in some manner, we are dealing with either natural or suboptimal unnatural diets while expecting artificially good results. Think of it like some bodybuilder that is huge (and actually natural) and everyone wants to be like him, but that is not how it works, even if you reproduce his routine, you won't necessarily get his results. This is kinda what I think that is happening with school, college and jobs in general. Maybe we will need those drugs for ADHD to achieve the results that we want, I don't discard completely this possibility, but I really think that a lot of positive results could be achieved by diet interventions.
