My first home cooked meal in Japan
In Russia I almost never bought pre made meals and I'm used to cooking my breakfast and dinner every day, but here I didn't have ingredients and other stuff needed so yesterday I finally could buy something. Here's my first meal here that I cooked.

Union If you want delis
Kanehide If you want veggies.
Marudai if you want the cheapest and local shits. Raw fish and sushi here are pretty good and pretty cheap.
I used to go to several supermarkets every night just before they closed because prepared meals were so much cheaper than my commissary.
I still don't understand how they were so zamn cheap when it must have taken a lot of labor to cook.

Downtown in Nago is full of old cheap pubs and coffee shops catering to the elderly, Unless you own a car and want to explore clear beaches every day, the North is a boring shit area and Nago seems so dead. At the very least consider buying a used electric bicycle or motorcycle. The walking culture there is shit even in a city of any size.
Downtown of Nago is quite walkable, but the shops you'll need for your daily life are far apart, so walking can be quite time-consuming and inconvenient. This actually applies to all areas of Oki' though.
The bus system on the island is actually good, but it's a shitty car-centric culture, so buses don't arrive on time and are often very late—at least by 10-15 minutes in my experience.

Nago is walkable because it's fucking tiny

Btw, this sorachi beer is great
It can share the second place in my personal Japanese beer tierlist with premium malts, because they're both equally good but in different ways. Actually I think it is a bit better
So far my tierlist is:
1) Yebisu
2) Sorachi
3) Premium malts

Let's see if it has changed since I last had it in 2018

It's in our cafeteria
The normal set meal costs 330 yen and a single dish (without miso and salad) or a bento is 250
Tomorrow they serve tempura soba so maybe I'll arrive extra early just to have it

Not really, I prefer lower alcohol drinks because I don't really like getting drunk. I like drinking but I don't like being drunk.
