my friend who lives there had to get his windshield replaced and rather drove home because the dutch shop asked for 3k eur+ more for the replacement of the exact same stuff
you can very easily spend like 50 euros just drinking a few beers and buying some food. it is expensive even if they earn high on average

I think everywhere is like this
What I'm worried about is cost of housing/rent
I've heard Amsterdam is much more expensive than even Munich

austria doesn't even have super high salaries or anything but you'll live much better there simply because you don't get robbed for the privilege of housing yourself
same for belgium

usa is still cheap in many aspects. even in new york can you easily find beer for $5. there are dive bars with 3-4$ beer still. only west europe is brutally expensive. east euro is much cheaper but for a reason

true, especially if you live in Copenhagen. Prices on par with London Paris and NYC, its one of the most expensive cities on the planet without even being a megacity like these
plus heavy tax load
It's interesting that Sweden gets higher PPS than us despite their quite lower salaries
It's true in my experience for certain stuff, you get more bang for the buck in the supermarket when I was in MalmΓΆ, or when buying a car

In Jutland (Western part of Denmark) story is different, salaries are a bit lower than cph but stretch much further. Jylland is known for cheaper market except maybe Aarhus and Aalborg
