At this point my main goal is to convince work to let me work remotely or get a remote job elsewhere, I'm in a bit of a cope that things will be better abroad but it's all part of my slow self improvement

I finally have enough money to put a down payment on a house, but my monthly income and career trajectory means I need to buy something for under $230k. Every time I find something I go to the wikipedia page for the town, click on Demographics, and it says something like

Also I finally got together with my oneitis from high school and it kind of sucks. She got wasted one night and openly told me she only gave me a chance after 14 years because I seemed like I'd be a good provider. She's kind of right because she's unemployed and occasionally cleans the apartment and makes dinner less than half the time. I pay the rent and bills, buy all the groceries, take her out to bars and dinners, do almost all the daily chores like laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and buy her all her personal shit like vapes or special soap that she probably couldn't afford with her no-income.

last week i drank too much and bought some benzos off some kid then completely lost my memory and woke up with cuts and bruises all over my body and face and no wallet. I think i fell down an escalator because theres no other explanation of what happened based on some of the shapes of the cuts

By the time you're 25 you're kind of set in how you are. Is there that big of a difference between a 27 year old and that same person at 32? I doubt it. If you're lucky the main difference is you're progressed more in life/career/finances, but looks and personality wise you're basically the same.
