It would still be called palestine today if Truman didn't advise us to change it after the 47 war didnt finish them off properly and the demographics were almost 50/50. My grandma wanted to be palestinian so long as jews were the majority and ruling class but being Israelites is better biblically to evangelicals. Our 100 year trajectory looks poor and I don't think a jewish state was ever possible and the more I research the issue the more I realize we were brainwashed by european christians to fulfill their deranged prophecies.
