>What were you doing for it? Any specific regimen?
Staying on 1500 calories on workdays and 2000 on weekends. Cutting out most ultraprocessed stuff and empty calories in form of carbs (cookies, soft drinks, pastry, etc.). Oatmeal with parm on most days for breakfast and more salads and meat, but without a lot of fat. Otherwise, I didn't really restrict myself, as long as it was within the caloric budget for the day.
Hitting the gym 3 times a week + daily walks after work (10k steps minimum).
In gym - 15 minutes of cardio + 45 min strength workout, first full body, later switched to training specific muscle group, as got more strength. Plus dedicated cardio days every second week.
But it's mostly about self-loathing and guilt-tripping yourself into sticking to this "spartan" regiment
