To be fair, metros in big Indian cities have a simple but strict pricing policy: "fuck you poor people". In Bangalore taking the metro is going to cost four or five times the price you'd pay for a taxi ride to cover the same distance. In the same vein, if you spend 100$ on a meal you can bet your sweet ass that you'll get better service than in NYC for the same price, you will feel like a king. A life sentence in India is the most terrible thing that can happen to a human and other modes of transportation there are just swarming rivers of stercoral bugs, but if you're rich it goes further than in other countries, you even get your own infrastructure. Also, it must be nice to have fresh spices available all the time. But seeing and smelling India all the time isn't worth it. People there think trash just goes on the ground where you stand.
