>EU and Chinese """growth""" (lol) were small
>the only reason why EU overtook China was because they devalued their currency to export more

EU is a playing a dangerous game not devaluing their own currency to help exports since they're hit with 15% broad tariffs.

China has never been higher in GDP than the EU though

But china does have an economy and industrial base.
EU has speculation on rents, tourism and overpriced luxury goods

Actually, since the EU formed in 1993, the EU was higher than China in GDP for its entire existence, except for 2021 and 2022. In 2023 and 2024, EU's GDP was higher than China.

So this "2025" thing wasn't new. EU's GDP has been higher for the past 2 years.

There is industry in Europe, and it is very high tech. Due to their high tech, such factories are invisible and very few people work there. But without their products, factories around the world just can't produce their schlock

Did you know countries count paying off interest on debt as GDP?

Imagine telling somebody the $50k you owe to your loanshark as your networth.

Germany is going the japan spiral, the reason they are not devaluating is because if their buying power falls they will go through a deinvestment spiral, their gdp and markets will tank and in general and the reality is that exports wise they are not so far away from their rentability threshold with all that regulation in labour costs and production costs in general.

America economy btw.
America is virtually bankrupt, their debt and deficit is abysmal and their entire industrial aparathus and key components for their arms industry (which is the keystone of american imperialism and thus economic hegemony) was entirely moved to indochina

Why do you think the state department & buttbudies memed trump reindustrialization into a priority? America cant go war even if they wanted atm.
Remember taiwan 2021-2023 drought periods where due to the chip shortage american planes were falling like mosquitoes?
