What surprised me that they worked with local suppliers. I read an article about the shake supplier back then, he was a chemical engineer who had a company making these milkshakes in the late 80s. McDonalds approached him months before opening and asked him to re-create the shake without knowing the ingredients. I don't know how it works today but I used to think they just mass-ship everything everywhere

But in every day language when talking about the vegetable alone "krumpli" is more often used, burgonya is more official
