Anime & such really needs to stop displaying onigiri with the small nori rectangle like in OP's pic
The conbini onigiri is vastly superior and should be considered the "baseline."
Most people eat onigiri with full, large nori rectangles covering the whole riceball. Not some soggy square, its a fresh and crisp nori and rice sandwich.
