i've cured egg yolks in soy sauce for serving fish tartar. haven't tried regular salt. i imagine the taste would be somewhat similar.

Frog legs are good, Bird’s nest is very good (despite finding out it’s bird spit), Shark Fin soup is good (shark fin is okay). Food from around the world is good, even Macaque soup in Brazil, and Wichetty grubs in Australia.

My next trip is to Ecuador and trying out Mojojoy. Yum.

I've had silkworm once. Got them frozen, cooked them in oil in a pan with a little salt and pepper afterwards. Tasted kind of like rotten potatoes, wouldn't really eat again.
