Brazil played a significant role in the creation of the State of Israel through the actions of diplomat Oswaldo Aranha. As president of the United Nations General Assembly in 1947, Aranha was instrumental in the passage of UN Resolution 181, which called for the partition of the British Mandate of Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states.

Aranha’s efforts earned him a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1948. In Israel, his contributions are honored with streets named after him in cities like Tel Aviv, Beersheba, and Ramat Gan, as well as Oswaldo Aranha Square in Jerusalem.

For most of my life I didn't even think about jews, mostly because I'm not religious and here where I live they apparently don't have a lot of influence, or so I thought at the time, so I only really started seeing stuff about them when I started using this shit around 15 years ago, but I didn't think much.

Turns out not only sephardic jews had sneaky major influences in the culture of where I live, but my mother's family is directly descended from a sephardic jewish family. Well, initially, the only hint I had was the surname, but now every time I see Israeli girls of this phenotype all I can see is my young mother, and when I think about it, my grandpa, has the stereotypical jew look.

Now I'm severely conflicted, as I've been a conspiracy theorist about joos for a very long while, even before 4chan, and now I realize I might be one of them... It scares me.
