I have no idea where the stereotype about Italians being good looking comes from. They are short, ugly looking sallow manlets with yellowish greasy shit skin with dark circles under their eyes and underdeveloped facial bones.

Many of the Italians in the US aren't particulary good looking. Most look like the cast of the Sopranos. I think all of the mafia movies helped cultivate a violent yet sophisticated image that has some allure. That and Italy's natural beauty, artworks, food have also given the people soft power, even if they look the same as the Spanish or whatever
